I'm filling in for Shepherd today. He just never seems to have enough time to blog anymore.
I have to tell a couple of funny stories about him. He loves flashcards and we have been doing these one animal flashcards since he was one. We have made up signs for the animals that we don't know what they sound like (some of them I use the real sign language for them). Anyway, one day I asked Shepherd if he wanted a pretzel. He immediately started making the sign for Quetzal (a type of bird--the Q flashcard). At first I didn't know why he was doing that...then I clued in, pretzel sounds like Quetzal.
It happened again, except this time I asked him if he wanted jelly on his roll. He immediately signed "jellyfish". Again I was confused until I realized I said the word jelly. No eating rolls with jellyfish on them at our house!
Whenever I say anything with chicken like "chicken nuggets, fried chicken, etc" he immediately says "bak bak bak" like a chicken. It cracks me up.
I love you little Shepherd. You're growing up. Thanks for letting me fill in for you today.
